Board and Care Facilities

“Don’t ever put me in one of those nursing homes!” Jenna’s mom teased her with this statement since she was a kid.

Although said in jest, Jenna sensed there was an element of truth in her mother’s tone of voice. Years later, Jenna now faces the scary reality of what to do with her mom’s ailing health and need for 24-hour care. With a large nursing facility out of the question, she called Keen Home Care and learned about the “board and care” concept. In this environment, her mom can live in a small home with five housemates. It feels more like a home away from home and the perfect solution for her mom’s insistence that she not be institutionalized.
