Our Lifelong Memories Can Be Enriched With Our Loved One’s Transitions
It’s ok to take it personally…we do, right alongside you.
Many of our private duty, in-home senior care residents, and assisted living home residents, and their families, sometimes even their neighbors, share wonderful experiences with us and we’re proud to share these “Client Reflections” with you as well.
In her role as a professional fiduciary, Karen recognized that providing care for clients is one of her most important responsibilities. This prepared her for caregiving for her own now-deceased husband. She explains how Keen helped her manage the day-to-day caregiving of her husband while allowing her to continue caring for other elderly veterans, often left alone with no family or friends.
MEET DR. ROBINSON
After his back surgery, Dr. Robinson wasn’t eager to hire a caregiver. A fiercely independent man, his two adult children lived hundreds of miles away, and he was just fine without their daily assistance to help him cook, bathe, or move about his Park Estates (Long Beach) home. But, while he recovered from a surgery, he called Keen to help him manage his days until he gained his strength back.
When Linda noticed that her neighbors had someone in a nursing uniform coming and going from their East Long Beach home, she was happy because she understood that her long-time friend was getting the care support they needed from Keen Home Care. Just about a year later Linda needed similar support for her own live-in mother-in-law. Keen Home Care is a part of Linda’s family; having helped her neighbor, both her in-laws, and even her own parents
For 50 years Ron and his wife Mary Jane lived in a beautiful beach home on The Peninsula in Long Beach. Well into their 80s, health challenges became a new way of life. Committed to never leaving their home, even at the request of their adult children, Ron found a way to keep their way of life intact by securing Keen to help with their aging lifestyle, without having to sacrifice leaving their dream home.
Knowing that her mother Mary’s health was declining, Mona needed to enlist extra support to help tend to her needs. Overwhelmed by the emotional toll of watching her mother in her dying days, Mona called Keen to manage around-the-clock, end-of-life care. The peace of mind of just knowing the right care providers were in place to help Mary’s final transition brought comfort to Mona and her relatives, as they completed their final goodbyes.
As an estate planning attorney, Jenny has seen families struggle with aging parents. But it wasn’t until her own father-in-law fell ill that she experienced firsthand the heaviness of managing the care of a loved one. Jenny knew the perfect company to call to step in and assist in her family’s growing needs. As Jenny shares, Keen showed up like Mary Poppins with her umbrella to save the day.
