Betty and Bob have been happily married for over 47 years. But with their children several states away, and with Bob’s memory challenges, they needed to start planning for their long-term care options.

This was a tricky task for Betty. She was physically and mentally active, engaged socially, and afraid of being separated from her husband. A Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) is a housing community that offers different levels of care within the same community of aging adults. 

An aging person may transition from one level of care to another as their needs change.
